Why the plan lives in Excel
Standard planning tools assume predictable input. Lumber, fish, meat, minerals and recycled material arrive with varying grade, yield and moisture; process plants run campaigns no BOM captures; on the floor the question is who is allowed to run the machine, not whether it is free.
So the planner exports, plans in Excel, and the result never gets back into the ERP. Riff keeps the planner's logic, runs it on live data and puts the result back. The Excel goes away; the thinking in it stays.
